Cloud computing services can be private, public or hybrid.
- Private services are delivered from your own data center to internal users with a dedicated VPN or leased line connection
- With a public cloud model, a third-party provider delivers the service over the internet from their data centres which can be situated anywhere in the world. There has to be a physical server somewhere despite the term ‘cloud’.
- hybrid cloud is to create an environment that takes advantage of all that a public cloud infrastructure can provide, while still maintaining control over mission-critical and commercially sensitive data.
